We are particularly interested in images that convey an unfolding.
Big and small “unfoldings” occur all around us in many ways: rapid and raw; subtle—movements that slip by unnoticed; alone, or in community.
Feel free to add a brief note (no more than 40 words for each photo) on how you think the art/photo fits the theme or is appropriate for the anthology, and it will be taken into consideration upon review of the entry(ies). If you have a different idea in mind, do share it with us and we will be happy to consider it.
All mediums will be accepted: photography, illustration, painting, collage, or any kind of visual or graphic expression. Images should have lots of open space for text. Horizontal images may wrap around the back cover as well, so choose appropriately.
The image should have the highest dpi possible, the minimum size being 400 dpi, in TIFF or JPEG file format. Note: No RAW file formatted images please.
If accepted, you will receive photo credit in emerge and two copies of the final publication for your portfolio.
The image that is selected for the cover art for emerge will also be used for publicity purposes to promote both the anthology and TWS, and SFU. The image will also be used on our Blog, Facebook page, and Twitter account.
